CHICAGO – (July 31, 2012) – Futures International, a subsidiary of independent interdealer broker OTC Global Holdings (OTCGH), announced today the addition of Mark Metzger as director of institutional business development. Metzger is an agricultural commodities trading veteran with nearly four decades of experience in a dozen domestic and international markets.

In his new role at the leading on-floor exchange brokerage group in agricultural markets at the CME, Metzger will be responsible for building out a team of commercial and institutional brokers with expertise in agriculturals and soft commodities to handle commodity hedging. This effort will include a research function as well as marketplace execution and clearing services.

“Mark’s a well-known and highly respected member of the global commodities community. His proven ability to lead and tremendous experience will benefit to our rapidly expanding team in Chicago,” said Javier Loya, chairman and chief executive officer of OTCGH.

Prior to joining Futures International, Metzger worked at R.J. O’Brien & Associates, LLC in Chicago for 10 years, first as an executive vice president then as president of the company’s commercial business group. As a futures commission merchant specializing in serving the agricultural and energy risk management needs of an extensive and prominent client base for the company, he grew the commercial business division into the top-performing division within the firm.

Metzger began his career at Cargill, Inc in Minneapolis. During his nearly 20 years with the major international firm specializing in agricultural and commodity trading, he held a number of positions such as regional merchandising manager, merchandising manager, manager-worldwide non-grain feed ingredient and senior merchant-food grains department, and worked in various regional and global markets including Geneva, Switzerland, Kansas City, Portland, Sacramento and Norfolk.

In addition, Metzger worked as a vice president for Pradium and as a president of business development for Rooster.com. He was also president and corporate merchandising manager at Des Moines’ Agri Grain Marketing Futures, LLC.

Metzger is a graduate from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, where he received his bachelor of arts in marketing and management in 1973. He is also a member of the National Grain and Feed Association.

“Helping grow the Futures International team in Chicago is going to be a great challenge, but also a highly-rewarding endeavor that I am very excited about,” said Metzger.
